Burke McKay Director, Sandra J Burke MCIM MCIPD DPA, is an energetic, enthusiastic and award-winning marketer and one of Scotland's most able service sector communication professionals. She has a strong record of success - working in social care regulation, economic development, further education, equality strategy and public sector compliance. Sandra held senior positions directing communications, involvement, equality and brand management at the Care Commission and with Scottish Enterprise. In 2008/09, she represented the Care Commission on the Scottish Government User Focus Action Group set up to advise Ministers on the recommendations in the Crerar Review and was latterly seconded part-time to the Scottish Government, to help develop the social and healthcare communication aspects of the Public Sector Reform Bill.

Carer, Writer, Advocate, Social Commentator and Public Speaker Also a lifelong and compassionate carer, she is a strong advocate for people who use care services and a persuasive public speaker in support of improvement, meaningful service user involvement and person centred care. She is particularly passionate about the quality of care and support for older people and those with mental illness - feeling there is substantial scope for improvement in the way services are provided.

Sandra is lead Solace Enterprises Associate in Scotland for marketing communications and public relations support to local authorities and other public sector organisations. She works closely with a few trusted consultant associates with relevant skills and can put together first class teams of experts to assist with your project if necessary.
